Excerpt From: Dominate Me

I shouldn’t be here. I looked around the room and my stomach fluttered with nervousness. I bit my lip and turned to walk out. No matter what my body thought it wanted, my head was pushing me to leave the club. I almost made it to the door when my phone rang.

“Hello?”

“Elli, don’t you dare leave.”

“Monty? Are you here?” I couldn’t see her, but the club was crowded. How did she know I was going to leave?

“No. But I’m well versed in the ways of Elli. Give it a chance. You’ll never learn if you want this if you don’t try.”

“I should’ve never told you about my fantasy.”

“Yes, you should have. That’s what friends are for. Now go find a table and sit down. Tell me all about it tomorrow.”

“Okay.” I resigned myself to sitting in a corner for a few hours and going home. I hated social situations and the only reason I was here was because of some stupid flyer and talking to Monty about what I’d thought I wanted.

I hung up the phone and waded through to a dark corner.

The ad said Dark Encounters was the place to be if you were into BDSM. Tonight was some kind of mixer to attract new members. Once I’d seen the flyer my body had gone on alert. Then I had to go and tell Monty how the idea had intrigued me. She’d talked me into this hair-brained scheme, and she hadn’t even had the decency to come with me. No, she’d made up some lame excuse about her boyfriend needing her for something.

I was lost in thought when he showed up. He wasn’t the most attractive man I’d ever seen, but he exuded power and strength with his every movement, he owned the room. His hair was short and black with a little silver weaved through it. He must have been close to forty. That wasn’t too bad against my thirty-five. I couldn’t really tell what colour his eyes were. They were hidden in the shadow. The man was tall and stocky with a square jaw and high cheekbones, rugged in appearance as if he’d forgotten to shave. The shadow of a beard fit his over all look.

“Is this seat taken?”

Chapter One

As Con pried his eyes open, the first thing that captured his attention was Tory’s face nestled against his chest. The early morning light coming from the large windows across the room allowed him to see her small, curvy body tucked in close. His eager dick flexed its approval. Damn, he loved sleeping with her. Even though Tory was still in possession of her grandmother’s house, she went over there only a few days a week. Con had tried to persuade her to sell the old place, but she’d flat refused. It hadn’t taken him long to realize she kept it for sentimental reasons. It bothered him that she was paying taxes on the place, though. Thankfully, Devon, his best friend and partner in their little love triangle, didn’t have the same attachment to his condo. Clearly seeing the benefits of sharing expenses, he’d sold it and moved right in.

Careful not to wake Tory, Con gently pushed the sheet down their bodies, baring her one pretty inch at a time. It’d taken him and Devon a few weeks of coaxing, but they’d finally managed to talk Tory into sleeping naked. It’d been well worth the effort too. As he smoothed his palm down her side to her hip, all he felt was firm, warm, feminine skin. She mumbled and slung one smooth-as-satin leg over his calves. Christ, she was cute. Watching her sleep had become an obsession for him. There was just something about seeing Tory Jeffries with her guard down, looking so sweet and vulnerable. It pulled every single one of Con’s protective instincts front and center.

He looked across the room and spotted a bare-chested Devon sitting in the recliner. He’d pulled on his navy blue pajama bottoms and his laptop was open. Whatever was on the screen no longer held his attention, though. Devon sent him a grin, telling Con without words exactly what he intended to do—watch. He’d known for years that his friend was a voyeur and Con had been content to play the exhibitionist on several occasions. He didn’t quite understand it, but neither did he mind.

Turning his attention back to Tory, Con let his hand travel a leisurely path over Tory’s shoulder and lower back before reaching the plush cushion of her ass. Her bottom was a thing of beauty. He could spend hours kissing and fondling her there. He cupped it, filling his palm with her sexy flesh. She moaned and pressed closer, her damp pussy sliding along his thigh. The slight provocation spurred him into action. Grasping her around the waist, Con pulled her on top of him, blanketing himself with her warm, supple body.

"Good Morning, Con.”

He nudged his cock between her thighs and damn near drowned in bliss at the feel of her soft little pussy. “How’d you know it was me?”

“Because Devon is most likely up and working already.” She turned her head and glanced across the room. “Morning, Devon,” she mumbled.

Devon sat up and closed the laptop before placing it on the end table next to the chair. “Morning, sugar.”

Letting out a yawn, Tory snuggled against him again. “It Saturday, Devon. Why are you up?”

“I had too damn many meetings this week and got behind on a few things.”

“This is all real fascinating, but I’d rather play.” Con rubbed his cock against Tory’s pussy, teasing and evoking a throaty little moan from her. “Does our little baby want to play?”

Without answering, Tory started to move her hips, beginning a rhythmic rotating motion that had his cock hardening farther. Her cheek was pressed against his chest and one hand splayed wide, directly over his heart. “Mmm, our sweet Tory does want to play, Dev.”

"I can see that,” Devon said, his voice low.

Con looked over in time to see Devon get to his feet. Their gazes clashed. Devon pulled his pajama pants down and his cock sprang free. It was hard and already dripping with precome. Con continued to stare as Devon kicked his pants free and sat back down, one hand wrapped tight around his cock. When Devon’s smile came, something deep inside Con stirred the way it always did when they played this particular game.

Tearing his gaze away from Devon, Con turned his attention back to the woman draped over him like a warm, silky blanket. He pushed the wild mane of Tory’s hair to one side and kissed her exposed cheek, savoring the flavor of her creamy skin. Her eyes fluttered open and her tongue darted out, licking at her dry, swollen lips. He watched the emotions skitter across her face as she went from drowsy to totally alert. Her gaze heated and Con’s chest tightened. Damn, the woman could make a monk shake with need. Some part of him half-expected Tory to reject him. Even after so many nights spent together, he still couldn’t help but wonder why she hadn’t kicked him to the curb. Okay, so he was a successful businessman now. He no longer had to fight just to survive. But while he might’ve moved up in the world, financially and socially, deep down Con still felt like the punk kid nobody wanted around. He was just too fucking glad Tory had never known him back then. Too fucking glad she saw something in him worth keeping around.

For a moment, Con let his mind replay the previous night. Tory had been exhausted from helping Summer with her bed-and-breakfast. He admired the fact she never thought twice about lending a hand whenever a friend was in need, but he hated that she worked so damn hard all the time. Devon had drawn her a bath. They’d both instructed her to relax and unwind. Afterward, Con had a dinner of grilled salmon and steamed vegetables ready and waiting. The full-body massage after had been pure impulse. Of course, having their hands on the woman they loved was no hardship. And seeing her all fresh and pink from her bath had been a little too much provocation. On the other hand, her begging them to take her hadn’t hurt either. His fair little princess had been an eager and wild participant in the sex games that followed. And judging by the dampness pressing against his cock now, she was wide awake and ready for round two.

Con was only too happy to comply.

Pre-order "What She Needs"

It's been awhile since I blogged here. First my laptop was off at the repair shop, then  the weather turned crazy and we ended up snowed in. The kids have a snow day today, which they're loving, lol.

Anyway, onto happier stuff! Have you seen Samhain's fancy new site?

Lots of new features, including a series page. All the series the Samhain authors have can now be found on one page. Handy, huh? My Vaughn series, Cape May series, and the Tahoe Nights series can all be found there. Actually, What She Craves, my second Cape May story is missing from the series page, but they'll have it added soon. They're still working on the site! :-)

Another fun feature, you can now pre-order Samhain's upcoming stories. I've never seen an epub do that before, but I LOVE it! My next Cape May story, What She Needs, can be preordered, which is awsome!
Also, have you seen these sexy little gift certificates? Okay, I'm not really sure they're new, lol, but they are gorgeous! And I plan to give one or two away in future contests, so be on the lookout for that!

Anyway, as far as publishing websites go, I'm loving Samhain's new one.

and now the blurb for What She Needs, which releases Feb. 22nd:

What She Craves--out now!

It's here! The second story in my Cape May series. This is Tory's story. If you read "What She Wants" then you'll remember Summer's blonde friend. The truth is, when I thought up Summer's story I had no intention of making it the start of a series. Then Tory popped onto the page. She kept nudging me and nudging me. Now, Tory doesn't just have one story, but two. "What She Needs", which comes out Feb. 2011, is more of Tory, Con and Devon. These three just wiggled their way into my heart and I couldn't stop thinking about them. I hope you find them as fun and lovable as I have! :)

Cape May, Book 2

Tory Jeffries likes things simple. A modest home, a web design business, easygoing men. Except there’s never one around when she needs one—and she needs a date for the event of the year, her friend Con Walker’s annual Christmas party. Not that she couldn’t go alone, but spending the evening as a third wheel doesn’t appeal.

When her old friend Devon Mason turns up dateless as well, she anticipates a fun evening with her flirty, bad-boy buddy. Then Devon and Con offer her a Christmas treat that her inner slut begs her not to refuse. A night with both delicious, muscular men. In Con’s bed. Naked.

After growing up together with an up-close-and-personal view of life’s ugly side, it doesn’t surprise Devon and Con that they’ve fallen for the same woman. They’ve watched her date men who aren’t nearly good enough for her, and now it’s time to show the fiery blonde just how perfectly she fits in their sinful fantasy sandwich. When they take their first long, slow taste, something extraordinary happens. They fall in love.

Now all they have to do is convince their suddenly skittish princess that fairy tales can come true…

Devon stood on her front step, one broad shoulder braced against the doorframe, wearing a crisp white cotton shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and a pair of black slacks that showed off his long, powerful legs. She’d never seen him looking quite so magnificent. He’d even tried to comb the wild mane of his hair into some semblance of style. She could have told him he shouldn’t have bothered. Tory had always liked Devon’s messy brown hair.

“You look great,” Tory complimented, hoping her voice didn’t sound quite as throaty as she suspected.

His grin, laced with just a shade of masculine need, melted her insides as he stared down at her. “And you look sexy as hell, sugar.”

Tory’s hands shook with nerves. Another first. Devon never made her nervous. They’d been friends too long for that. Three years of knowing a person, seeing them at their best as well as their worst, tended to bridge the gap. Admittedly, Devon wasn’t acting himself of late. For instance, the way he looked at her now, as if he wanted to run his tongue over her, slowly, for hours. Yeah, that was a new one.

“Thanks. I spent a bloody fortune, so it better look fabulous.”

“You’re a total babe. I’m going to have to fend the guys off.”

Tory narrowed her eyes. “Why would you even bother?”

Devon stepped through the front door. His hand lifted to her cheek, and the warm strength of him obliterated her nerves in an instant. “Because you’re with me,” he growled.

“This isn’t a date,” Tory reminded him—and herself. If only she could stop thinking of it in that light, it’d give her words more credibility.

“I’m a man. You’re a woman. We’re going to a party together. How is that not a date?”

“We’re friends. This is no different than if I were going on a bike ride with Summer.”

“So, Summer thinks you look sexy, then? Summer can’t take her gaze off the way that satin hugs your curves?”

“Devon.” His name and nothing more. It was all Tory could manage in that moment.

He stroked a finger down her chin, then removed his hand altogether. She shivered clear to her toes. “Come on, sugar. Let’s party.”

She smiled, feeling her confidence level rise a notch. She was going out with one of her best friends and she was going to have a good time. Simple as that.

Fifteen minutes later, when Tory entered Con’s mansion—and that was the only way to describe a house the size of Con’s—she took in the beautiful decorations. One of the tallest trees she’d ever seen filled one corner of the great room. Mistletoe hung in various spots around the spacious room. The winding staircase leading to the second floor was decorated with large red bows and evergreen wreaths. The festive atmosphere warmed her heart. Con had grown up being bounced from one foster home to another. Poor and alone, with the exception of Devon, Con had built quite a life for himself with a lot of hard work and a good sense of business. Christmas music and more than a hundred guests filled the place to bursting and made her feel less skittish. Big crowds of strangers she could handle. It was the man at her side who had her wondering.

Tory quickly scanned the crowd, but didn’t see Con anywhere. “Where’s the man of the hour?”

Devon placed his hand at the small of her back and led her across the room. “Probably in the kitchen. You know how he is about the food. Everything has to be perfect or he has a conniption.”

She envisioned Con hovering over some poor unsuspecting chef and groaned. “We’d better find him before we have a repeat of last year’s Christmas party.”

Devon snorted. “Con deserved to have cheesecake dumped over his head. He was being an ass.”

She clutched her purse tighter as they neared the double doors leading into the kitchen. “But it was a waste of a perfectly good cheesecake, and that’s just wrong no matter how you look at it.”

“I’d forgotten how much you loved that stuff.” He chuckled. “Con felt terrible because you looked so sad over the loss.”

Pushing the door inward, she groused, “I wasn’t sad. No one gets sad over cheesecake.”

Devon snorted. “You looked like a little lost puppy.”

She started to protest that ridiculous statement, but the sight that greeted her inside the huge room with its stainless steel counters and cabinets took her breath. Not one, but three cheesecakes sat on the counter mere feet away. One was topped with strawberries, another with cherries, and the third was drizzled with chocolate sauce. Drooling would be extremely unladylike, Tory remaindered herself. She spied Con next to the stove, hovering near a steaming pot of…something. He turned, and their gazes clashed. The slow grin that spread across his face had her heart beating faster. Con should never be allowed to smile. It was like watching the sun rise over Cadillac Mountain in Maine. It made you want to stop and stare for a good ten minutes.

Unable to budge even an inch, Tory watched as Con crossed the room then gently pulled her into his arms. He kissed her lightly on the forehead. Inching backward, he looked her over. “You look gorgeous, baby.”

Taking advantage, Tory let her gaze wander. Con’s close-cropped midnight black hair, navy blue slacks and the white dress shirt straining to contain his thickly muscled torso sent a little shiver down her body. Con was a big man. Powerful. A little intimidating until you got to know him. His silver eyes and the hard planes of his face told of a rough life. Oh, Con might be rolling in money now, but Tory knew it hadn’t always been that way. In fact, growing up, he and Devon both had been forced to fight just to survive. She didn’t know all of it, but the little she did know always made her heart ache for the pair.

“Thanks,” she said. “You, uh, clean up pretty well yourself.”

“Gee, thanks.” He tweaked her nose. “If you’re going to be ornery, then you won’t get any of my cheesecake.”

She peeked around his shoulder and sighed. “There are three of them.”

Con stepped back and folded his arms over his chest. “And I made each one myself. So, be a good girl tonight.”

Devon stepped forward, a frown marring his handsome face. “Why three?”

“To make up for last year’s fiasco,” Con muttered. “Hell, Tory, you looked so sad when you saw that ruined dessert, I figured I owed you.”

Tory planted her hands on her hips and glared at the two men. “For the last time, I wasn’t sad. Upset, yes. That cheesecake looked delicious. But I was not sad, for crying out loud.”

“Were too,” Con and Devon both said at the same time.

It was futile to argue with the two of them. Especially when they chose to gang up on her. “Whatever,” she said, waving a hand in the air. “I need a drink.”

“Champagne?” Con ventured.

“White wine, Con,” Devon said. “Tory hates champagne.”

“Oh, right.” Con headed toward the long steel countertop where several crystal glasses sat. He picked up a bottle of white wine and held it up for her to inspect. “This just arrived, actually. I’ve been letting it breathe. It’s a new winery I’m thinking of investing in. You’ll be my taste-tester.”

“As long as I get to be your cheesecake taste-tester as well, I’ll be whatever you want.”

Con glanced over at Devon, and the pair exchanged a mysterious look. Neither spoke as Con poured the wine. He brought it to her. Tory sniffed the fragrant liquid. Spicy and sweet. Interesting. She took a sip. “Smooth, sweet, but not too sweet. Nice.”

“Good.”

The music changed, and suddenly Tory wanted to dance. “Which of you is going to dance with me? Don’t make me look for someone else, I don’t feel like doing the flirting thing tonight.”

“I thought I made it clear you’re my date,” Devon chastised. “No flirting unless it’s with me.”

“Or me,” Con said, his voice low, a little rough.

Tory looked at Devon, then Con. She couldn’t tell if they were teasing or not. She didn’t want to know, either. Instead she took another sip of her wine. Devon plucked the glass out of her hand and handed it to Con. “Come on, sugar. You can move those sexy hips all you want.”

As they went back out to the main room, Con following close behind, Tory’s mind whirled with the possibility that the two men were making a move on her. Could it be? Devon tended to flirt. It was just his way. Con, not so much. So, what was up with them tonight?

Hump Day Hunks!

Sorry I'm late with the hunks! It's another busy writing day!

I've been to the beach, but never once have I seen something this cute wash ashore. lol

Yum. Nuff said.

I've never been big on nipple rings on a guy...til now. ;-)

And for today's Hunk Quote I've snagged a scene from Body Rush, out now with Kensington.

Hunter Trace has been coming to Jeanette's coffee shop for six months, but it was never the coffee he craved.

"You run a good business. In the few months I‘ve been coming in I‘ve noticed an increase in customers."

"Thanks. I know coffee shops are a dime a dozen, but it‘s my hope that when you mix quality with friendly service word gets around."

He pointed at the large menu hanging behind the counter. "I‘m ashamed to admit I‘ve never eaten here. Guess I‘m not big on Danishes."

"Ah, but I do more than Danishes. In fact you really should try my double-chocolate brownies. You‘ll change your mind."

He chuckled. "Not that you‘re bragging or anything, right?"

Her chin lifted. "It‘s not bragging if it‘s the truth."

Hunter folded his hands on the table and leaned forward. "I don‘t know. Brownies don‘t do much for me."

"Double-chocolate," she stated, as if he hadn‘t heard her correctly the first time. "Everyone loves double-chocolate."

"How about I come back at closing time?" He let his voice drop to a whisper. "You can show me what I‘ve been missing."

Her gaze drifted to his lips and stayed there. "You‘re hitting on me," she murmured. Her tongue swiped at her lower lip and Hunter‘s cock flexed in his jeans.

Mmm, lick it, baby. "Yeah, I am," he growled.

Monday Excerpt--What She Craves

Sorry I'm late with Monday's excerpt. It's been a busy day!
Today I'm giving you a sneak peek at my December 14th Samhain release, "What She Craves".
a hot m/f/m menage and the second story in my Cape May series. :)

Blurb:
Unwrapping these gifts could get a girl in a world of trouble.

Warning: This book contains one sassy heroine getting two tasty alpha heroes for Christmas. Expect some crazy hot m/f/m sex and a Christmas Eve party that’ll blow your stockings clean off.

Adult Excerpt:

Tory felt at home. It was odd, but there it was. Nothing could ever harm her with Devon’s strong arms holding her tight. She twined her arms around his neck, and he pulled her in tighter. She immediately knew what he wanted to show her. The rigid thickness of his cock now pressed into her belly. Tory’s knees went weak. Her eyes sought his, searching for confirmation. His wicked smile sent her blood pressure soaring. He rotated his hips, causing heat to pool between her legs and her face to flame.

Leaning down, his hot breath against her ear, Devon whispered, “Don’t be embarrassed, sugar. You’re beautiful. Feeling your sweet curves against me is driving me right out of my mind.” He lifted his head, his gaze so dark she barely saw the pupils. “I’m not going to do anything about it. Not unless you want me to. Do you want me to, Tory?”

“I-I don’t know.”

“Are you a little turned on?” he whispered against her ear.

“Maybe,” she confessed. “But we’re friends, Devon.”

“And friends can’t be lovers?”

Tory shrugged. “I wouldn’t know. I’ve never had it happen before.”

“Maybe we should find out where this could go.”

“Devon’s right.”

Tory froze at the deep baritone coming from directly behind her. Turning her head, she saw Con, and he was close. Close enough she could smell his clean masculine scent and see the tension riding him.

The ramifications of what they were saying hit her at once. “Both of you?” Her nipples hardened as if begging to be touched, tasted, played with by Con and Devon both. Her nipples were total sluts, she decided.

Con cupped the back of her neck. It was a strong, possessive hold. Tory couldn’t move. “You sound surprised, baby.”

“Surprised barely covers it,” she said, and her voice sounded husky. Damn it, she sounded aroused. “You two must have had too much to drink or something.” Lighten the mood, she lectured herself. While you’re at it, remember who you’re with, you wanton.

Con tsked. “You know better. Devon never drinks, and I only had a few sips of that white wine you tasted earlier.”

She did know Devon’s rigid stance on alcohol. His father had been an abusive drunk and, as a result, Devon never touched the stuff. “Then maybe I’m the one who’s had a little too much.”

“Come upstairs with us, sugar. Where we can be alone. We can talk about this in private.”

“Talk?” she asked, turned on despite her suspicions.

“Talk, nothing more. Unless it’s what you want,” he added. “I promise.”

“You have our word, baby,” Con said, adding his two cents to Devon’s. “The ball’s in your court.”

“But you don’t deny you want me. Both of you. At once.” She said it quietly, but still it felt like all eyes were on her.

“We won’t lie to you,” Devon said. “Having you is something we’ve both fantasized about, Tory.”

Tory slapped a hand over her eyes. “Oh, God. This is so crazy.”

Con pried her hand away, a tender smile on his face. “Crazy because you like the idea, or crazy because the thought is repugnant?”

She couldn’t lie, not about this. Not when they were opening themselves up to her in such a vulnerable way. “It’s not repugnant,” she answered, her voice quivering. From fear or excitement? Both, she suspected.

Devon’s arms tightened and Con’s silver gaze blazed with passion. “Follow me,” Con growled.

Con gestured to Jason, his personal assistant. Making arrangements for Jason to handle the guests? Most likely. Heat filled her cheeks when Jason’s gaze darted her way for a split second. As Con started out of the room, Devon wrapped a hand around her smaller one, then led her toward the doorway. Her legs shook. She was really doing this. Going upstairs with Devon and Con. Would they make love to her? Both powerful men? She couldn’t even begin to get her head around it. Tory had no experience to aid her in this. What would they expect from her? Would she be able to satisfy two such virile men? More importantly, what would it do to their friendship?

Suddenly, Devon stopped and cupped her chin in his large, gentle grip. “Stop analyzing it. Only let us please you. That’s what Con and I want. To please you.”
His gaze dropped to her chest. Was he looking at her nipples? Could he tell they were hard for him? His nostrils flared as he muttered, “So sweet. So tempting.”
“So out of my depth,” she muttered.

Devon brought her hand to his lips and kissed it. Without another word, he took her to the stairs. Halfway up, he stopped her again, murmuring, “Tell me, sugar, are you wet right now? Is your pussy eager for my touch?”

“Devon.” She had no idea what she was going to say. She had no words to describe the feelings rioting inside her at that moment.

“Con and I are going to make you feel so damn good. Every sexy inch of you, Tory.”

She had to make him understand. He had to know she wasn’t this daring. That she’d never been wild or uninhibited in bed. She swiveled on her heel, nearly tumbling right off the step had Devon not reached out and grabbed her around the waist. “I’ve never…this isn’t—”

“Shh, it’s okay.” He reached around and patted her bottom. “Upstairs first, sugar.”

Tory hesitated. She could leave. Simply ask Devon to take her home. He’d do it. She knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he wouldn’t hold it against her, either. He would call tomorrow morning and wish her a Merry Christmas the way he always did. Did she want that? Did she want to walk away from them?

And my inspiration for Con and Devon... *grin*

Monday Excerpt!

Today's excerpt is a scene from Haley's Cabin, my first published work. The theme for today is first meetings. Sometimes it's love at fist site, sometimes it's lust! LOL

I hope you enjoy it! :)

Excerpt:

Jeremy walked for what felt like miles, sweat dripping down his spine, his T-shirt sticking to his ribs, cursing his brother’s shitty advice every step of the way. Then it appeared, like a beacon of light. Not his brother’s cabin, but a smaller log house that sat off the road, and it was beautiful.

“Civilization!” he moaned in relief. “If they have water, I’ll kiss their blessed feet. If they have a phone, I’ll think I’ve died and gone to heaven.” His mouth was dirt dry, and he was starting to wonder just how long a person could go before dehydration or sunstroke set in.

As he stepped off the gravel and onto the cool grass, Jeremy realized his shoes were ruined. The melting tar had done a real number, and bits of rocks and grass stuck to the soles. “Brad, so help me, when I get my hands on you…” Jeremy let the sentence trail off and stopped dead in his tracks as he saw what had to be a mirage.

She was sunning herself and she was so fucking sexy it hurt. Even from a distance it was clear she had a sweet little hourglass shape. Now he knew he was delirious. No way would a babe like that be way out in this neck of the woods.

Jeremy was rooted to the spot as the vision in the white bikini rose to a sitting position, stretched like a lazy cat and turned over. Now he stared at her ass.

“Damn,” he mumbled. “Brad, you’re a friggin’ genius, bro.” Maybe the weekend wasn’t a lost cause after all.

Jeremy started across the yard, impatient to get closer to the enticing creature, but slowed as he approached the porch. He didn’t want to scare the lady half to death. He had to admit, even as his tongue started to take on the texture of sandpaper, he wasn’t nearly as concerned about getting to a phone or water anymore.

Once he was within a few feet of the porch, he could see her face was turned away from him and he took advantage, letting his gaze wander.

Her body wasn’t darkly tanned, but more the color of honey with a slight redness at the tops of her shoulders. Her hair was swept into a messy pile on top of her head. Little brown curls had escaped and were scattered around her nape. That wasn’t what had him as hard as a railroad spike, however. It was the tiny white suit she wore. It had those little ties at the hips, just daring a man to pull the string and find the treasures beneath. Jeremy stopped his perusal, wishing like hell he could stop his raging boner, and cleared his throat. That got her attention. She fairly jumped ten feet in the air.

“Whoa, easy there, honey. No need to get all rattled,” he said, trying to look charming. He probably looked more like a prison escapee with his hair and clothes a sweaty mess. “I promise, I’m not a serial killer. I just, well, I broke down and I’m really hoping you might have a nice, cold drink of something. Of anything. Because, damn, I’m thirsty.” He left off the part about the phone.

She stared, wide-eyed and nervous, and started to look a little pale. It was as if she’d seen a ghost or something. He reached out a hand and touched her shoulder. It was hot from the sun and slippery from the oil she’d rubbed all over. A mental picture of her rubbing herself down sprang to mind. Which, of course, caused his dick to spring readily to life. Down, boy.

“You okay?” Jeremy asked. “You’re white as a sheet.” He frowned, wondering if she’d gotten too much sun. That quickly, his own troubles fled as concern for this strange beauty grew. “Maybe you ought to get inside where it’s cooler. You aren’t looking so good.”

She blinked and appeared to give herself a mental shake. Jeremy sighed with relief.

“My name’s Jeremy Pickett, by the way. Sorry if I startled you.”

“No, um, you looked familiar is all. Like someone I know,” she explained, sounding sort of husky. Her voice had a deeper pitch, as if she’d just woken up. Christ, even her voice was sexy.

“He must not be anyone you want to see again, considering the look of sheer panic on your face just a few seconds ago.”

“Who?” she asked, still staring at him as if she wasn’t sure if he was there or not. His eyebrows rose inquiringly. Maybe she was in worse need of a cold drink than he.

“Oh, right!” she exclaimed, finally grasping the thread of the conversation. “Well, actually he’s not real.”

What was that supposed to mean? Jeremy wondered. Not real?

She looked at him from head to toe. “What on earth happened to you?”

Jeremy smiled. “Unfortunately, my car broke down and I walked for awhile. Yours is the first house I’ve come to.” He offered her a friendly wink and was pleased when she smiled at last. Then a nasty thought wiggled into his mind, ruining the blissful moment.

“So, you alone out here?” he asked, wondering if there was a husband around. The beauty stopped smiling and the startled look returned. Damn his big mouth anyway.

“I swear I’m not a crazy person or anything,” he clarified as he offered his hands up in mock surrender. “I just wondered if there was a Mister in the cabin who would greet me with a shotgun or something.”

She seemed to become aware of how much skin she was showing, because she bent down and grabbed the towel she’d laid on. She wrapped it around her lower half, and Jeremy agonized over women and their silly sense of modesty.

“Well, you can relax, there’s no shotgun and I’m not married.” She snorted. “Not anymore, anyway.” She glanced back at the cabin and said,

“I live in the city. I’m just staying here for the weekend.” She stood and held out her hand, finally allowing the smile to slip back into place. “I’m Haley Thorne.”

He readily took her hand, wanting to touch her again. Even if it was just an affable handshake, it was better than nothing. Unfortunately, the touch was brief as she released him and moved toward the screen door.

Swinging it wide, she told him, “And I do happen to have bottled water, iced tea and cola. So, what’s your pleasure, Jeremy Pickett?” She grinned teasingly at him.

Oh, hell, yeah. Jeremy would dearly love to show little Haley Thorne what his pleasure was.

And my inspiration for Jeremy ;)

Ride of Her Life--Out Now!

My first Ellora’s Cave release is now live, baby! Check it out! *g*

Ride of Her Life

By: Anne Rainey

BUY HERE

Blurb:
It’s been a year since her divorce and Lily Justice is ready to move on—but not with just any man. She’s got a certain drool-worthy body shop owner in mind. It’s almost convenient that her car needs some work. And when she meets Kyle Wolff up close and personal, her inner-slut has to have him, age difference be damned. With the car staying at the shop, Kyle graciously offers to give her a lift home.

While she accepts a ride on Kyle’s hot motorcycle, Lily’s inner-slut wants a hot ride on Kyle.

She’s about to get what she wants. And it will be the ride of her life…

ADULT Excerpt:

As Kyle lay in bed, darkness surrounding him, the only thing he could think about was Lily. How she’d looked standing in her driveway earlier in the day, eyes bright with passion, lips swollen from his kiss. Jesus the woman was hazardous to his self-control. Would she have invited him in if he’d stuck around? He hadn’t wanted to pressure her. Lily was all class. Giving her the impression that he was only after her for sex didn’t fit in with his plans. There was more to it than that. In Lily, he saw a woman of substance. A woman who would challenge him. She made him think crazy thoughts. Thoughts like making her his—so no other man had a right to look at her with lust in their eyes.

Reaching over, Kyle picked up his cell phone from the nightstand and pressed speed dial two.

“Hello?”

Her husky voice filtered over the line. Sexy. Kyle looked at the neon numbers on his alarm clock and winced. It was eleven o’clock at night. Shit. “Did I wake you?”

“Kyle?”

The note of surprise in her voice was of the good variety. Smiling, Kyle stuck his arm behind his head and answered, “Yep.”

“Oh, hi. And no, you didn’t wake me. I was just laying here going over some photos.”

“Laying?” His cock flexed. “Are you in bed?”

She laughed. “Is this one of those what are you wearing phone calls?”

Playful. He liked that in a woman. “Do you want it to be?”

A pause, then, “I’ve never had one of those, so I don’t really know.”

“Never?”

He heard a rustling sound before she said, “Nope.”

Kyle closed his eyes and tried to imagine her surroundings. Tried to imagine her. The latter was easy. “You’re a phone-sex virgin, huh?”

She laughed again. The sound vibrated through his entire body, sending his nerve endings on a holiday. “I’ve never really thought of it, but I suppose I am.”

“Then allow me to guide you through your very first,” he growled.

“Okay.”

Surprised by her quick agreement, he asked, “Really?”

“Yes, really. I want to know what I’ve been missing out on.”

Her husband must have been a real ass. “Are you in your bedroom? In bed?” Damn, how he wished he could drive to her house and see for himself. Patience. She needs time, dickhead.

“Yes.”

“Good. Now, this is the part where you tell me what you’re wearing.” He kept his voice soft, undemanding. “And if it’s an old pair of ripped-up sweats with spaghetti sauce stains, that’s okay. Be honest.”

Several seconds drifted by before she replied, “This is so weird.”

“It’s just the two of us, Lily. It’s okay to let yourself go a little.”

“Then here goes. I just had a shower and my hair is still damp. I’m wearing one of my favorite nightgowns. It’s red and greed plaid. Short, sleeveless and about twenty years old.”

“Comfy, I like that.” He waited a heartbeat before asking, “Bra? Panties?”

“White cotton panties,” she answered. “No bra.”

“Mmm, that’s sexy, Lily. Very sexy.”

She snorted and for some reason Kyle found the sound as cute as hell. “You wouldn’t say that if you saw me right now. No makeup and an old, ugly nightgown. Icky.”

“On you it’s sexy, trust me.” He softened his voice, making the moment even more intimate for her. “Does the nightgown have buttons down the front, Lily?”

“Y-Yes.”

Her voice hitched. Kyle’s dick swelled. “Undo them for me.”

“I’ll have to set the phone down.”

“Can you put me on speaker?”

He didn’t hear anything at first. For a frustrating moment Kyle thought the call had been dropped. Finally, she said, “You’re on speaker now.”

“Good,” Kyle murmured, then stayed quiet, waiting for her to do as he bid. Wondering how far she’d go.

“I-I’m done.”

When her voice came over the line this time, Kyle heard the shyness in her tone. He wanted her beyond that. He wanted her to feel, not think. “Spread it open for me, little Lily. Nice and wide so your breasts are exposed.”

“This feels…”

Her voice trailed off, forcing Kyle to gently prod. “What do you feel?”

“I feel like you can see me. Even though you can’t.”

“Ah, but I can see you. You’re filling my mind with your beauty right now.”

“You don’t even know what I look like beneath the clothes. I could be covered in warts.”

He chuckled. “You’re stalling, Lily. Did you spread the nightgown like I asked?”

“Yes.”

I wonder…just how far will Lily go? *g*

Prologue

The loud music hit her the instant she stepped through the doors. Lydia loved it. Going to Charlie’s, her favorite hangout, after work on Friday night always helped her forget about the lawyers she worked for. There were three of them and they were all exasperating. Working at a law firm sucked in ways that most people couldn’t grasp. Her only escape from the stress came when she met up with her two best friends, Roni and Jeanette. They’d known each other since grade school. While everyone else had moved on and forgotten about their school pals, the three of them had stayed in touch. Sometimes she thought they were closer now than ever. Maturity maybe. Who knew the reason, all Lydia knew for sure was that she’d be lost without them.

As she moved through the crowded room, Lydia felt someone’s hand on her ass. She turned and glared at the man sitting with a group of men, all grinning like idiots. The hateful look she tossed his way must have worked because he pulled his hand back and started to scope out his next victim. Lydia spotted her friends sitting at a high round table at the back of the bar. Roni waved her over. Lydia smiled and headed towards her.

As she reached them she noticed her favorite drink, a fuzzy navel, ready and waiting. Roni moved to another chair, giving her the one on the end. “Why is it men think it’s cute to grab a woman’s ass? Do they really think it’s going to get them laid?” she shouted in an attempt to be heard over the noise. She slid onto the chair and grabbed her drink, wondering if she’d look like an alcoholic if she downed half the glass in one gulp.

“I’ll never understand why men do half the things they do,” Roni tossed back with an angry edge to her voice. “Trying to figure them out is a waste of time.”

Jeanette leaned close and said, “There is one particular guy I wouldn’t mind grabbing my ass. The only problem is I don’t think he even knows I exist.”

Lydia and Roni both moved closer, their attention rapt. Lydia spoke up first. “Are you still hot for that motorcycle dude coming into your café?”

Jeanette’s gaze filled with unbridled lust. “If you saw him, you’d be drooling too. I’m telling you, he’s the yummiest thing I’ve seen yet.”

“You’ve lusted after this guy for what, a year?” Roni asked.

Jeanette laughed. “It feels that way sometimes, but it’s only been about six months.”

Lydia took a sip of her drink. Already she could feel herself relaxing, as if the last several days were a distant blur. She looked across the table at Roni and shook her head. She still couldn’t picture her sharp-tongued friend as a psychologist. On a good day she was hard to get along with. On the other hand, Jeanette’s job seemed to fit her to a ‘T’. Owning a quant little coffee shop seemed the perfect choice for her introverted friend.

“If you don’t ask him out, someone else will,” Lydia taunted, hoping to push her friend into making a move.

Jeanette bit her lip. “I’m so damn shy around him. He comes in with this black leather jacket and tight, faded jeans and I just want to jump him. All that dark hair and those dark eyes.” she sighed. “Every time I see him I think, this is it. I’m going to ask him out. Or at least find out if he has a damned girlfriend. But I just get all tongue-tied. Like I’m high school again.” She clenched her fist around the long neck bottle of light beer she’d ordered. “It’s frustrating as hell.”

Roni piped up with her usual bit of sensitive logic. “He rides a motorcycle, he’s gorgeous as hell and he comes to your shop every morning. Get a clue, girl, he wants to fuck you!”

Jeanette rolled her eyes. “What makes you think he wants me at all? He comes for the coffee, not the owner.”

“Bullshit. He comes because you’re hot and he wants to lay you across the counter. He could get coffee anywhere. Hell, he probably doesn’t even live near your shop.”

Lydia could see her friend’s spirits perking up. “You really think so?” Jeanette asked.

Roni laughed and swallowed the last of her sex on the beach, before waving the waitress over and ordering another. After she hurried off to fill their order, Roni said, “He’s just watching you squirm a little. Enjoying the way you blush and stammer. It’s a game. He’s wondering how long you can hold out.”

Jeanette started to peel the label off the beer. “I’ve never asked a guy out before. Usually they ask me. I’m not shy exactly, but I am a little old fashioned I guess.”

Lydia spoke up this time. “I think Roni’s right. It’s a new world these days. Men like it when a woman is sure of herself. You should definitely ask him out.”

Jeanette’s eyes grew round. “This coming from the shyest one of all?”

Lydia shrugged. “I’ve been doing some thinking. It’s time we livened up our lives a little, don’t you think?”

Roni narrowed her gaze, as if suspicious all of a sudden. “In what way?”

“I don’t know,” Lydia admitted as she looked down at her half empty drink. “It’s just that we come here every Friday and nothing is ever any different. We work all week, date boring men, and then come here to bitch about it. I’m getting sick of it. I’m ready for a change.”

You might date boring men, but that doesn’t mean we all do.”

Lydia knew that tone. Roni always got her back up when someone pointed out that she wasn’t perfect. “Oh really? What about that guy you went out with last weekend. You said he took you to the Opera and you wanted to sleep through the whole thing it was so boring.”

Roni slumped. “Men always think they’re going to impress me by bringing me to some expensive restaurant or some fancy theatre. Or they go the opposite route and attempt to please me by playing on my kinkier side. Just once I’d like to go out with a real man. Someone who isn’t trying to impress.”

“See? That’s exactly what I mean. We all have these secret desires, but we don’t act on them.” Lydia looked at Jeanette, who’d remained silent throughout the exchange. “Just once wouldn’t you like to toss caution to the wind and do something...wicked?”

Jeanette sat back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest. “Yes, I would. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to strip naked and just offer myself to Mr. Motorcycle Man. But how can I possibly do that when I don’t know a thing about him? These days it pays to err on the side of caution.”

Lydia nodded. “I agree we should be cautious, but that doesn’t mean we can’t, just this once, do something completely out of character.” When Roni and Jeanette both started talking at once, Lydia held up her hand. “Hear me out. If you don’t like my idea, then we’ll forget I ever mentioned it. Agreed?” Both women looked at each other before giving her the floor. “Roni is ready to get down and dirty with an honest, blue collar kind of guy. Jeanette you’re so hot for Motorcycle Man I can practically see steam coming off you. I have my own little fantasy in mind too. I say we make a bet to see who can make their fantasy come true first.”

Roni snorted. “Are you serious? We’re going to bet to see who can get laid faster?”

“Not just laid, dork. The bet is to see who can make their fantasy become reality.”

Jeanette gasped. “I cannot believe you’re suggesting this. I can see Roni suggesting something like this, she’s half crazy, but you? I’ve never even seen you loosen the top button of your blouse, yet you’re sitting there proposing we make our wildest fantasies come to life?”

Lydia’s face heated. Jeanette was right. It was insane to think she could actually make her own fantasy a reality. If her friends had half a clue what she wanted to do, they’d commit her to a sanitarium. She was about to call the whole thing off when Roni spoke up

“What’s the winner get?”

Jeanette’s gaze swung to Roni. Lydia couldn’t speak.

“You’re actually considering this ludicrous bet?” Jeanette squeaked.

Roni grinned. “Why the hell not? It sounds like fun. And Lydia’s right, our lives are boring as shit. While I admit I do have some pretty wild sex, there’s still something missing. I want more, damn it.”

Lydia wished she could be more like Roni. She took life by the horns. All Lydia could ever control was her cat, Socrates. “I haven’t thought that far. What should the winner get? While we’re at it, what does the loser have to do?”

Jeanette held up her hand. “Wait, I’m already confused. How does one lose?”

“By not making your fantasy real,” Roni answered.

“So in order to win, I need to ask Mr. Motorcycle Man out?”

“Not just ask him out, but you have to do the very thing you’ve been dreaming of,” Lydia said, already wondering what she’d gotten herself into.

“I’ve had a lot of dreams about that man.”

“Make one of them happen and you’re safe from losing,” Roni said as she finished off her second sex on the beach.

Lydia took a deep breath and went for broke. “So, back to the question. What does the winner get and what does the loser have to do?”

“The winner gets to have her fantasy come to life, obviously,” Roni chimed in. “The loser...buys the rest a round of drinks?”

‘No, that’s not incentive enough,” Jeanette said, as if she were beginning to warm up to the idea. “The loser has to...strip naked and walk down main street.”

Lydia shook her head. “Illegal. It can’t be against the law.”

“Then the loser has to clean my car,” Roni tossed out.

Lydia and Jeanette both shuddered. “That’s cruel and unusual punishment, Roni,” Lydia said. “Damn.”

Roni rubbed her hands together. “But it’s legal and it’s incentive enough to get you two busy.”

“What makes you so sure you’re going to win?” Jeanette shot right back, her back stiffening in pride.

Roni winked. “Because I never lose, honey.”

Lydia sucked down the last of her fuzzy navel, then ordered another. “Okay, now for the next part of this wager. We each have to reveal our fantasy.”

Jeanette shrugged, “Mine’s already been revealed. I want to have wild and crazy sex with Mr. Motorcycle Man.”

Roni frowned. “I want a man who wants me for me. A man who isn’t out to impress.”

Both women looked at Lydia. “I want to have sex with a stranger, no strings, no names, just sex.” Or maybe with two, she thought, but she wasn’t ready to admit that.

Jeanette’s jaw dropped and Roni eyes filled with awe. “Damn, I’ve never admired you more than I do right now,” Roni mused.

Jeanette laughed and soon they were all cracking up. Deep down Lydia shook like a teenager on prom night. What the hell did I just get myself into?

Description

The only way to keep what he has…is to surrender everything.
The Vaughn Series, Book 3

Merrick Vaughn couldn’t be happier with his life. His business is jumping and his marriage to the love of his life is about as good as it gets. At least, that’s what he thinks…until Chloe announces she wants to separate.

Stunned doesn’t begin to cover it, but it quickly becomes clear that she’s dead serious. And if he doesn’t take action, as in now, he’s going to lose the only woman he’s ever loved.

The last thing Chloe wants is a divorce, but she can’t go on living with a virtual stranger who spends all his time—and hers—behind a desk. It’s tearing her apart, and taking a break to sort out her thoughts seems her only recourse.

Then Merrick offers a wicked proposition: go to Hawaii with him for one week’s vacation. After that, if he hasn’t successfully changed her mind, he’ll let her go. No questions asked. There’s only one caveat. She must agree to give him complete control.

Chloe’s intrigued and scared. One week in paradise might bring them closer—or be their ultimate undoing.
